I’ve owned Sanfordsworld.com domain for a VERY long time. The website has changed over the years, but has been a Under Construction page for the past few of those years. In the past few months I’ve become very interested in Responsive Web Design and the idea of being Future Friendly.
For those not quite sure what Responsive Web Design is, it’s “basically” just a way to restructure your website based on the size of your browser. Full screen on the desktop will have all the web elements shown, then as you resize your browser OR jump between devices (tablet, phone, etc).
With all this wonderful knowledge, figured it was time to finally create a personal website for myself. So I decided to use one of the projects I’ve been working called Fluid 960gs Remixed (very much a work in progress) to create this website. Then I bolted on some responsive techniques.
Desktop Style

Mobile Style

This is definitely a very early version of this website, I’m sure I will add more spit & polish to it over the coming months/years. Hopefully it will be more polish, and bit less spit.

As you may have guessed I just got my new iPad 2 in the mail. Thought I would try out this blogging application called BlogPress. So far it seems pretty nice.
I also grabbed one of the new iPad covers from.

Well that’s it for now, time to download a TON more apps and games.

So last night I was bored and tried making some Crepes at home and tossed on some random cheese spread I grabbed while at the store…. recipe available at the end of this article.
Here’s some random pictures of the crepes I made.

jQuery Mobile
I just heard about this over the weekend while reading some twitters of peeps I’m following. It’s supposedly going to be released around October 2010. If you’ve been thinking about creating a mobile application, but don’t wanna deal with learning Objective-C or Java, this looks like a great place to start.
Check out the design section to see what the proposed look of the UI elements will be.
Here’s the QR Code for the Tumblr App location on the Android Market. If you don’t already have a QR Code reader on your Android phone, search for Barcode Scanner on the Market
YAY, they finally released a Android application that I can use on my new(ish) phone. When I still had my iPhone I used the Tumblr app all the time. But after changing over to the Nexus One, I slowly dwindled away from using Tumblr all together, as it was no longer convenient for me (cause I’m WAY LAZY).
Although, I can’t seem to find anything about this new app on the Tumblr’s own website, I guess they don’t consider Android community much of a selling point.
But anyway, I may start using this service again and start doing what all the other cool kids are doing… Blogging about nothing.
UPDATE: From what I read on the internet’s, you will need at least Android 2.1 to run this app.

I finally got my JEEP back on Friday. So far it looks, and drives, like it did before I decided to run over a car about 2 weeks prior. I would definitely recommend the company that fixed it all up, Precision Collision.
Not much more to see here, hope to post more about my Jeep trips as the summer really starts hitting.

For anyone that happened to pickup one of those tasty new Nexus One phones AND just can’t wait for the new Multi-Touch update coming out.
Here’s how to get it RIGHT NOW:

I simply browsed the website on my Nexus One and downloaded the file that way… This way you don’t need to have a data cable OR a SD Card reader handy. If you go this route, then you will need a File Manager (I recommend ASTRO) so that you can move it to the correct directory and to rename it.
- Download the file from the link
- Open up ASTRO and browse to the SDCard/Download directory.
- Hold your finger over the downloaded file, and choose Edit, then Move
- Now browse to the root of the SDCard and click on the Edit button at the top of the application. Now you should have a Paste option.
- Now you will need to Edit the file again, this type to rename it as described in the link provided.
- Now simply follow the rest of the steps on the website, and you should be GOLDEN.
