Personal Playground (created)
I’ve owned Sanfordsworld.com domain for a VERY long time. The website has changed over the years, but has been a Under Construction page for the past few of those years. In the past few months I’ve become very interested in Responsive Web Design and the idea of being Future Friendly.
For those not quite sure what Responsive Web Design is, it’s “basically” just a way...

Laughing Cheesy Crepe
So last night I was bored and tried making some Crepes at home and tossed on some random cheese spread I grabbed while at the store…. recipe available at the end of this article.
Here’s some random pictures of the crepes I made.
Here’s the cheese spread I went with, quite tasty. I’ll definitely buy this stuff again.
That’s right, this is the wonderful cheese...

Tumblr for Android released
YAY, they finally released a Android application that I can use on my new(ish) phone. When I still had my iPhone I used the Tumblr app all the time. But after changing over to the Nexus One, I slowly dwindled away from using Tumblr all together, as it was no longer convenient for me (cause I’m WAY LAZY).
Although, I can’t seem to find anything about this new app on the Tumblr’s...

GOT JEEP?
I finally got my JEEP back on Friday. So far it looks, and drives, like it did before I decided to run over a car about 2 weeks prior. I would definitely recommend the company that fixed it all up, Precision Collision.
Not much more to see here, hope to post more about my Jeep trips as the summer really starts hitting.

Nexus One: Desktop Dock
I just ordered the new Desktop Dock for the Nexus One. This thing was released under the radar, sneaky little Google.
http://www.google.com/support/android/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=167603
It seems to have some nice little features, such as coming with a RCA cord so that you can stream your music to your stereo system as well as automatically going into Clock Mode so that you can use it...

2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Well, this weekend I have traded in my 07 Acura TL and picked up the 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4WD. I’m looking forward to this summer when I can take off the hard top and cruise around with my soft top.
The Loaner jeep they gave me had cloth seats in it that weren’t very comfy, and I was thinking I might not like my new jeep as a daily driver. But thankfully the Leather seats I...

Jeep Loaner vs The Rock
So the dealership in Lynnwood REALLY wanted my business, they even sent me home with a Jeep for the night. All was well in the world, until The Rock decided to say hello to my windshield.
Now we will see what happens when I bring it back into the dealership today. They will most likely SCREW me over on the price of the replacement for it. So I called up a local Auto Glass place, and they quoted...

2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Test Drive
Today while running some errands I stopped by a Jeep dealership and decided to test drive one of the new 2010 Jeep 4dr Wranglers. This is the picture of the one I drove, directly off the show room floor. The color is a Dark Charcoal, new to the 2010 lineup.
This specific one had the “Sahara” package on it. Which was fully loaded with Navigation, remote start, leather seats, dual...

Nexus One Coolness
So I posted a few days ago that I got (err, ordered) a new Nexus One from Google. Well I just got it in today and so far, I love. There are a few games/apps that I would love to see ported to the Android platform, but I’m sure I’ll find new apps and games.
I’ve been a iPhone user since the first day the iPhone 3G was released (yes, I stood in a LONG line for it on release day)....

Avatar - tale of the tall blue amazonian people
This weekend I watched Avatar in 3D. This was the first full length movie that I watched in 3D. At first the 3D effect was really in your face, but just like watching a subtitled movie, you quickly forgot about the 3D effect and enjoy the movie.
The itself was REALLY good, I would say a “must see”. Just keep in mind that this is about a 3 hour movie, so make sure to hit the bathroom...

DIY Sun Jars
Here’s a nice, easy to follow, article on making your very own Sun Jars…
http://lifehacker.com/5315357/create-your-own-sun-jar-lifehacker-edition/gallery/
When I have some free time I’ll definitely have to try and make one, or a batch, of these things. They would be great gifts, or just something to put on the window sills in your home, so you would essentially have night...

Redbox + Robotics = Winner?
So there is this cool thing that I’ve seen around but never used until recently called Redbox (http://www.redbox.com), which lets you rent movies for $1 a night. Just like anything in the world, adding robotics to it will just make it that much awesomer.
So we take a Redbox and add in a Super High Speed robotic hand (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfdHY26E2jc) and we have a winner. Now you...

Can't wait for Thanksgiving leftovers
I remember a few years back I bought a small turkey from the store, brought it home, cooked it all up… What did I do, eat a tasty thanksgiving feast? NOPE… I cut it all up and tossed it into the fridge. Why? What? Who? How come? Well, nothing beats a cold turkey sandwich. So over the next week after that, I had some very tasty sandwiches.
This year I may actually have a Thanksgiving...

iPhone.Net Apps?
Someone just told me about the MonoTouch project, which allows you to use your existing C#.Net experience and make a native iPhone application with it. This has been added to my list of technologies to try with in the next few months, see if I can’t create another useless… err, useful… iPhone application.
Maybe I’ll make an application that will allow you to remotely...

Mac & Cheese + Doritos = WIN
Last night I decided to make some Mac & Cheese after seeing a simple recipe on AllRecipe.com. I’ve never been much of a “measurer” when it came to cooking, which is probably why I don’t like baking, so I just “guesstimated” on the amount of everything. But here’s a quick recipe that turned out quite well last night.

Education for the Web Develoment Field
For the past few days I’ve been reading up on what seems like a major lack of formal education in the Web Development field, which is what I current do for a living. I understand that this is a field changes rapidly (monthly, sometimes daily) and it’s hard for the slow moving education system to keep up. But what about the things that don’t change that often such as the current...

Switching from Dreamhost... bye bye
After much issues with our website, SpiralTrac, going down we’ve decided it was time to to switch away from Dreamhost. Looking around at various high quality web hosts, we ended up choosing RackSpace for our new hosting company.
Since Dreamhost was also where we stored our source code, using their SVN server, we also had to find another place to store all of our tasty code. For that, we...

CRUSH IT! by GaryV
I just got my new book in last night called Crush It! by Gary Vaynerchuck (or GaryV for short).
I’ve only read the first 3 chapters so far, and it’s got some great information so far about Doing What You LOVE and have intense Passion for. I can’t wait to read through the rest of the book. I bought the book through a promo GaryV and Jason Fried (37Signals.com CEO) had going on.
