For the past few days I’ve been reading up on what seems like a major lack of formal education in the Web Development field, which is what I current do for a living.
I understand that this is a field changes rapidly (monthly, sometimes daily) and it’s hard for the slow moving education system to keep up. But what about the things that don’t change that often such as the current iteration of Web Standards, HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
These are technologies that change very slowly. How we use them is changing a lot, as well as the frameworks built on top of these technologies. But the basic foundation hasn’t really changed that much over the years.
I just hope educators of the world will start looking into the great work done by many groups/companies, to help them create the future of our industry:
