With an Associate’s degree in Applied Science, I’ve been working in the high tech industry since 1998. Started my career at Ninelives, Inc., creating and redesigning Web sites using a combination of HTML, CSS, ASP and Access database. Since then, I spent four years at Microsoft as a Web development engineer and software developer. In 2003, joined the development team at Diligenz, Inc. as Web development team lead where I maintained B2B Web services solutions among other things. Left the company in 2007 to spend a year at AT&T Mobility before becoming a member of the IT team at Zenic Cubed in 2008.Today while running some errands I stopped by a Jeep dealership and decided to test drive one of the new 2010 Jeep 4dr Wranglers. This is the picture of the one I drove, directly off the show room floor. The color is a Dark Charcoal, new to the 2010 lineup.
This specific one had the “Sahara” package on it. Which was fully loaded with Navigation, remote start, leather seats, dual tops (comes with both soft and hard tops), upgraded tires, 4wd, dvd player, 30gb hard drive to play MP3s from, plus much more.
I read a few reviews and also heard some people complain about how noisy the ride was on commuter roads. With the hard top on, it didn’t seem noisier than my Acura TL; also helps that the tires don’t have an aggressive off road thread on them.
I’ve been thinking about getting one of these puppies since they were first released. I think the idea of having a SUV with both a Hard Top for winter and a Convertible Soft Top for summer is AWESOME.
Like with any car purchase it will come down to what kind of deal they can make me. if I can either trade in my car OR sell it myself, then get a monthly payment close to what I’m already paying on my Acura, along with $0 down, then I might be getting on of these bad boys by/before this summer.
